Johanna Roffino-Hulsey specializes in “re-purposing” castoff items into high quality one-of-a kind art.
Exhibits include the following galleries: The Bath House and The Ice House Cultural Centers, Art Center of Plano, TVAA Plaza of the Americas, Medical City Dallas, Café Izmir, Absinthe Lounge, Club DADA, Hal Samples Gallery, DSVC, STC, AHG Gallery, the MAC, Kettle, and LuminArte among others.

Johanna has a background in Illustration, Design, and Portraits. She has worked in this field for over 15 years. Here illustrations have been recognized in awards from Parents Choice and the Society of Technical Communication. Johanna lives and works in the Dallas area. She is proud of the art community in this region and stays actively involved in it. She continually studies and teaches art and design through college courses and workshops. Johanna is a juror for North Texas Business for Culture and the Arts, the Garland and Rockwall school district art competitions, and Booker T. Washington Visual Arts Guild Scholarship Board. Johanna is honored by the talented students she tutors. Many have been awarded advanced placement opportunities. Johanna currently teaches for Interfaith Housing Coalition, a non-profit center dedicated to meeting the needs of working poor families who have experienced a housing crisis.

Johanna also curates and installs exhibits for the Art Hotel featuring a wide variety of talented artists. Exhibit Installations include: Dia de los Muertos, Black History Tribute with C.Kirk, Love Song in 2008, Her Story, TVAA Signature Show 2009, and Meltdown with the Texas Wax Group, Ghost Story, and Once Upon a Time with AHG Collective.

Johanna founded the Art Hotel gallery and studio in 2008 with the goal to create a place that art lovers can learn more about art and each other. This community gallery has been well received and brings professional artist in to mentor art students. Exhibits include established and aspiring artists.
